On September 20th, 2009' we had our first Boxer Party in Seattle WA. !
After Talking with many of my Seattle families for several months about coming to Seattle for a get together I finally cleared my schedule up enough to fly up for the party. Unfortunately, I couldn't give anyone much notice due to a hectic work schedule, but despite that all the awesome families above still made the party. As for those who couldn't make it, due to my lack of notice, We'll have another one, Promise:)
Jenn was my hostess while in Seattle and she was so great:) Thank you so much! (Jenn's husband Tim had to work and couldn't make it, but really wanted to be there. We missed you Tim! See you next time) Jenn and Bella picked me up at my Hotel Sunday morning and after Bella had thoroughly removed my make up:) we headed out. Our first stop was Starbucks, which Jenn graciously located for me (Since I have a little Starbucks addiction:)
After getting my coffee fix Jenn drove me out to Snoqualmie Falls and we walked up to the look out. I have an antique color tinted picture of these falls that belonged to my great uncle and is dated 1909, but I have never seen them in person, so it was a very neat experience:)
Our next stop was Jenn's house where Bella showed me her room and introduced me to her cats:)
Then it was time for the party.
We met at Marymoor park in the off leash dog area. A few families had difficulties locating us, (Marymoor is a very large park) but we finally managed to get everyone together. The wait was excruciating for the kids:) They were all so excited to see eachother and wanted to go play.
Once everyone was together we let the hoard of Boxers loose!!!!! and then they were just blurs running by. Besides the Six families in attendance, Dallas also joined us with his family, which is Bellas best friend:) They had a fantastic time!!!!! While the kids played and while everyone was trying to keep track of their Boxer (which was rather difficult) we walked and visited.
Tucker is the largest Boxer of his siblings and Maximus is the daddy look alike. Bella is petite and a gorgeous little girl. Lola likes to be the boss, but decided to give up her status for the day and play like she was a puppy again. Martin is still the sweetest man ever and Zach speaks French:) (Kristen is training him in French, so he only responds to her commands:)
While at the dog park we also met a long tailed Boxer that reminded Kristen of Clifford, a lovely red Boxer that had been rescued and a few other Boxers wandered by, along with many other breeds of dogs; However, it wasn't hard to tell who the Bubbas Boxers were because they all looked so much alike:) It was easy to tell they were related.
After three hours or so the party started breaking up, so Dallas' mommy was kind enough to take the group photo above. Lola and her family had to leave a bit earlier so they are not in the photo, but I made sure to get a shot of them all together before they left.
All the kids looked great and very well cared for and I can't thank all of you enough for taking the time to bring them all together for this reunion!
